Student Life

Student Clubs

Students have an opportunity to enrich their education through our clubs each year.

National Honor Society: Students are able to be a part of The National Honor Society (NHS). The NHS elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, US Territories, Canada, and around the world. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

High School Student Government: Each year, the High School will elect a president, vice-president, and secretary/treasurer. These elected students provide and generate school spirit, pride, and involvement.

Chess Club: Students will learn the strategy behind the game. This challenges our students to think critically and to develop mentally.

Art Club: Students are able to join the Art club and develop their creativity and imagination.

Fine Arts Competition

Our Elementary, Middle School, and High School Fine Arts Competition are held each spring semester. Students compete in the North Carolina Christian School Association’s Fine Arts Competition each year. The opportunity is given to place entries in categories such as vocal and instrumental music, photography, crafts, Bible Quiz, drama, spelling, preaching, poetry, math, history, science, journalism, and much more!

Music Lessons

Music Recitals and Concerts are held each semester.
Parents will have an opportunity to come and listen to the students progress made in their musical field.

Spiritual Life

Weekly Chapel: Chapel allows students to step outside of the classroom and hear God’s word through sermons and Q&A sessions from Bible teachers and preachers.

See You at the Pole: Every September, our staff and students gather to pray for our nation. We join thousands of schools across the nation in this prayer meeting.

National Day of Prayer: Every May, our staff and students gather to pray for our nation. As a nationally recognized day, we teach our students the importance of America's spiritual history.

Spiritual Emphasis Days: Our students are presented with opportunities to grow in their faith and experience God's love and direction in their life.

Missions Emphasis Night: Every October, we place a special emphasis on missions and spreading the good news of Jesus in our community and to the world. Missionaries are brought in to share their burden for their field and to teach our students about the heartbeat of Jesus.

Leadership Lecture Series: Each quarter, we have our Leadership Lecture Series inviting community Christian leaders to come and speak to our students so our students can get an understanding of what leadership looks like.

Other Opportunities: Our students are able to be involved in numerous activities of Christian service. They willingly serve with their families in the ministries of our church. They visit area neighborhoods weekly, sharing the gospel. They sing in our church choir, help with Bible study classes, serve as ushers, learn how to run the technology of the church, and learn to give cheerfully in our annual Union County coat drive and food drive.

Parents are welcome to attend any of these events.
